Roberta ‘Bobby’ Hokanson PDF Print E-mail

Roberta “Bobby” Hokanson, a resident of Skokie, Ill., and Cocoa Beach, Fla., before moving to Eagle River, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, in Woodruff. She was 95.

Mrs. Hokanson was born Jan. 7, 1919, in Huntington, W. Va., to Flournoy and Hazel Menefee.

Her interests included flowers, gardening, needlepoint and playing bridge with friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Markus; two brothers, Mike and Jack; three sisters, Donna, Ruth and Myra; and one grandson, Richard.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Tom) Marks of St. Germain and Janice (Mac) McCoy of Eagle River; one son, Larry (Michael Siller) of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren;?and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Jan. 18 at Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff are appreciated.
