|Washington lawmakers are destroying this nation|
Letter to the Editor:
An open letter to my fellow Americans:
Over the past few years, it has become apparent that hypocrisy has overcome decency and common sense in Washington, D.C. The administration, as well as most legislators, have adopted this sorry trait in lieu of truth and civility when it comes to serving the country and her citizens. Now that the president has announced his agenda for this legislative session, we can expect to witness the worst possible hypocritical rhetoric imaginable. Our “poor defenseless children” will be used over and over by the liberal progressives to prove how heartless the conservatives are during the upcoming gun debate.
My question to the anti-gunners: Is a child murdered during a late-term abortion by the doctor inserting an instrument in the back of the baby’s head any less dead than one shot — a few years older — by a wacko with a gun? You would think so when you hear the rhetoric being repeated by the liberals, one after the other, and by their fabricated statements.
You may have noted the emphasis placed on children by these so-called concerned child protectors. But I ask you to consider the arguments presented by some liberals when the abortion issues are debated. Suddenly, the children have lost their standing. They find that now they are considered somewhat less important as the concern has turned to the mother.
Could it be that the voting age might have come into play? After all, it will be years before the child will be beneficial to their cause.
These are the folks you see packing their Bibles and pocket booklets of the U.S. Constitution around about D.C. I wonder if they ever take time to read either. God, nor the terms of the Constitution, ever find a place in their regard for one another or the American citizen.
I want to mention one more example regarding our youth. If our legislators are truly concerned about their future well-being, how can they continuously pile greater debt upon their shoulders?
Frankly, I?don’t think they care about our posterity, they care only about their self and their future retirement and legacy. In some cases, the party is most important.
Our active duty military and veterans of all wars have done more for America and our allies than the elected officials of the government could or will ever do for us. They are on duty 24 hours, seven days a week. Compare that to a meager three and one-half to four days our highly paid legislators serve per week.
Continue to destroy our military, then look around to see when it will be there to save and protect you, you ungrateful hypocrites. Yes, I am a veteran and proud of it!
In closing, I want to say if I?had the financial resources, I would seriously consider bringing charges of malfeasance in office or dereliction of duty against all of the present and some past officials for failing to protect America and her legal citizens. You folks have nearly destroyed the greatest nation ever brought into being and I do not appreciate it one damn bit.
You so-called servants had best get off your self-elevated throne and start representing your constituents, the taxpaying,?hard-working folks who are keeping this society afloat. Start by honoring God and country before self.
Again, I?ask God to bless this great nation he has blessed us with and all her conscientious citizens as well.
