DNR tightens wood rules

The Natural Resources Board agreed last week on rules for firewood movement onto state lands that are aimed at reducing the risk of introduction of invasive pests and diseases, including reducing the distance from which visitors may bring in firewood from the current 25 miles to 10 miles.
