St. Germain volunteers now taking emergency medical responder course

Twenty firefighters and emergency medical responders (EMR) in St. Germain are currently taking their two-year EMR refresher course at the St. Germain fire station.

The course culminates in a written and practical test. Successful completion of the testing allows the volunteers to be relicensed.

Wisconsin requires 72 contact hours to teach knowledge and practical skills to become EMR, which is the first training level for medical responders.

All EMRs are tested and licensed so recipients of their services
