Caution urged near meters

With heavy snow falling in many areas, Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) issued a statement saying it’s getting calls throughout its service area reporting customers shoveling snow from roofs and causing damage to electric and natural gas meters.
These can be potentially dangerous situations that include disruption of electric or gas service, or gas leaks around damaged meters, according to WPS.
