CONOVER — Landowners with properties around the Tamarack Flowage and Baker and Spring lakes in the town of Conover supported having the town create a lake protection and rehabilitation district at a public hearing conducted by the town board Saturday.
Property owners are hopeing the creation of a lake district could result in improvements to the dam on the Tamarack Flowage.
Rich Ruffalo, president of the lake alliance, and Bob Senechalle testified in favor of the district. No one who testified at the hearing objected to the district or asked to have their property removed from the district.
