Falcons get three home wins for large Pond Hockey crowd

An estimated 2,800 fans filled the Dome over Pond Hockey weekend to take in Great Lakes Hockey League action hosted by the Eagle River Falcons, who swept all three games.
Eagle River defeated Calumet 6-5 Thursday, Fox Cities 8-6 Friday and Fond du Lac 8-2 in dominating fashion Saturday night.
Eagle River skated to an early lead over Calumet. The Falcons first goal was a pretty one, as Lucas Otto found Josh Calleja at the edge of the crease with a perfect pass to put the Falcons on the board.
