City boys facility may be changed
By Ken Anderson
News Correspondent

The Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) for boys at 26 McKinley St. in Eagle River will be converted to a facility that provides care for irreversible dementia and Alzheimer’s patients should it be supported at a public hearing, approved by the city council and receive a new state license.
The present CBRF houses up to 16 male adolescents, according to Options Counseling Services Director Jim Webb. He said it would change to house up to 11 dementia clients.
“This facility would house those with early onset dementia patients from Vilas, Oneida and Forest counties and would have the license transfer from an adolescent group home to a dementia facility,” Webb explained to the Eagle River Plan Commission last week.
