She was born on Nov. 28, 1916, in Phelps, the daughter of Harry and Margaret (Tidd) Somers.
Adeline met and married Carl Elverson in 1939, and they had 57 years together.She was a kind and gentle person, and enjoyed watching the birds and wildlife outside her living room window.
She also loved doing puzzles and was an avid reader. Mom will be remembered for being a great cook and baker.
Adeline is survived by her daughter, Mary Kisamore of Loves Park, Ill.; sons, Charles of Phelps, Gary (Ann) of Wadesville, Ind., and Alan (Debbie) of Phelps; sister, Marie (Howard) Hale of Lakeland, Fla.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1996; parents; sisters, Doris Larson, Ann Johnson and Blanche Somers; and brothers, Ora, Clarence and Reynold Somers.
We love you, Mom, rest in peace.
Funeral services were held Feb. 14, 2014, at Twin Lakes Bible Church in Phelps, with the Revs. Craig Kirsteatter and Gary Spurgeon officiating. Visitation was for one hour prior to the service at the church.
