Brian F. Ayers, age 56, of Eagle River, Wis., went to his Eternal Home on Feb. 11, 2014.

Brian was born on Dec. 20, 1957, in Eagle River. He was the son of Forrest and Mary (née Hebert) Ayers.

Brian worked construction for many years in Wyoming before returning to Eagle River. He had been the groundskeeper at Pine Glo Motel for the last six years.

Brian had a great love for the outdoors. He also loved hunting and fishing. He had a tender spot for all God’s creatures.

Brian also loved to cook and share with those he loved. Despite Brian’s gruff exterior, he was one of the most giving and kind-hearted people. He was truly loved by many and will be missed.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his beloved dog, Cody.

He is survived by his sister, Cheryl Huk of Camp Verde, Ariz.; his uncle, James (Sally) Ayers; aunts, Josephine Ayers and Barbara (Fred) Hafer; nieces, nephews and many cousins.

He also is survived by special friends, Sheri Schoberg and Jessica Couillard.

A memorial service will be officiated by the Rev. William Trosien at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb, 20, 2014, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 223 Silver Lake Rd., Eagle River.
