|Pines may host Chinese students in summer school-type program|

A modification in how the Northland Pines School District would host Chinese students in the future was explained to the Policy Committee by District Administrator Mike Richie last week.
Richie indicated the four weeks that Chinese students shadowed Pines students in regular classroom settings last year was difficult for teachers and administration.
Under the new policy, Pines would shorten the visit and change it to a summer school format rather than during the regular school year.“We were asked to repeat the program, but felt a summer program would be more appropriate,”
