|Silent sports impact growing across North|

A study on the economic impact of silent sports in three northern Wisconsin counties estimated that $14.7 million in stimulus to the private sector was infused by nonresident silents sports enthusiasts during 2012.
The recent study included events that took place during 2012 in Ashland, Bayfield and Sawyer counties, and involved a year-long sequence of surveys given using event registration lists.
Here in Vilas County, tourism officials are well aware of the economic benefits silents sports are capable of producing.
