Billie ‘Clara’ ‘Aletha’ Bruette PDF Print E-mail

Billie “Clara” “Aletha” Bruette, a resident of Clearwater Lake for most of her life, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at her home. She was 88.

Mrs. Bruette was born May 28, 1925, in Eagle River, to Joseph and Clara (née Moses) Peters.

Her interests included  traveling, reading, knitting and helping people. 

She was an active member of the Clearwater Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one infant daughter; three brothers, Norman Peters, Guy Peters and Curly Peters; and one sister, Evelyn Schoolman. 

Survivors include her two daughters, Wanda Wincek of Clearwater Lake and Donna (Jim) Hubert of Mondovi; two sons, David (Joanne) of Chadwick, Mo., and Robert (Yvette) of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; one brother, Elmer Peters of Connecticut; three sisters, Doris Evans, Viola “Tuss” Platzke and Alma “Skippy” Burzinski, all of Clearwater Lake; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 2, at 11 a.m. at the Clearwater Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Aunt Billie was such a beautiful person. We had so many wonderful times with her and Uncle Arn So sorry we cant be there. God bless all of you.

I have always remembered Aunt Billie with great fondness.The times I spent with Her and Uncle Arnold and the kids were wonderful summers of my youth.Rest in peace.
