Eagle girls finish second in GNC, take 18-4 mark into D-3 Regional

The Northland Pines girls basketball team lost to Mosinee 48-39 in a conference make-up game to end the regular season in the Northland Pines Middle School gymnasium Saturday night.

A victory for Northland Pines would have given the Eagles a share of the Great Northern Conference (GNC) title, but Mosinee’s tough man-to-man defense shut down the Eagles most of the game and gave the Indians the championship with an 11-1 record. Pines and Rhinelander
