Pines schools to start earlier PDF Print E-mail

Due to the frigid temperatures and inclement weather this school year, the Northland Pines School District plans to start earlier in the morning to make up for canceled school days.

The school board has decided to make the time up by starting school 10 minutes earlier each day, beginning April 7. This is the Monday the school will return from spring break.

Rather than starting at 8:25 a.m., all schools in the district will begin school at 8:15 a.m. All bus pickups will be 10 minutes earlier than what the scheduled pickup time currently is.

The school has made up some of these days already and has extended its school year to June 11. Even so, in order to meet the minutes and days required by state law, the school will have to add additional time to its school year.
