Four incumbent supervisors lose election contests in Vilas, see other election results under news PDF Print E-mail

Four incumbent supervisors lost their seats on the Vilas County Board in Tuesday’s election.

In District 1, incumbent Ralph Sitzberger lost to Wally Otterpohl 126-79.

In District 4, incumbent Dennie Nielsen lost to Vernon Wiggenhaus 119-66.

In District 14,

incumbent Maynard Bedish lost to Art Kunde 106-71.


In District 17, incumbent Jim Behling lost to Ken Anderson 101-71.

Three incumbent supervisors kept their seats on the county board.

In District 6, incumbent Erv Teichmiller beat Michael Cady 117-57.

In District 11, incumbent Mark Rogacki beat Marv Anderson 135-102.

In District 20, incumbent Edward Bluthardt beat Tom Nitz 102-77.

Three newcomers also won seats on the county board.

In District 5, Rocky Caffarella beat Jay Verhulst 58-48.

In District 15, Steve Doyen beat Jim Schweizer 154-84.

In District 21, Kim Simac beat Christine Caz 140-128.

New candidates running unopposed included Racquel Bell in District 8, Wallace Beversdorf in District 16, Walter Wagner in District 18 and Gerald Burkett in District 19.

Six incumbent supervisors ran unopposed. They were Charles Hayes in District 2, Charles Rayala Jr. in District 3, Ronald De Bruyne in District 7, Mary Kim Black in District 9, Alden Bauman in District 10 and Carolyn Ritter in District 12.
