Robert “Bob” G. Lietzau, age 87, formerly of Pewaukee, Wis., and a resident of Conover, Wis., since 1997, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Seasons of Life Hospice in Woodruff, Wis.
Bob was born Feb. 12, 1927, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Clarence and Mildred Lietzau.
He worked as a tool and die maker for many years. He learned his trade through his father.Bob enjoyed viewing and feeding all the wildlife in the area, as well as fishing, golfing and camping in Canada. His biggest enjoyment was going out to dinner with his wife, Lila.
He served in the U.S. Army in Italy from 1945 to 1947, during World War II.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
He is survived by his children, Brian (Nancy) Lietzau of Lac du Flambeau, Wis., Wayne (Priscilla) Lietzau of Merton, Wis., Roger (Tammy) Lietzau of Dousman, Wis., and Robert (Ellen Sook) Lietzau of Valders, Wis.; grandchildren, Lauren M.D., Gus, Jesse, Tammy, Keith, Julie and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Chloe and Noah; as well as many other friends and relatives.
A special thank you to the staff of Ministry Eagle River Memorial Hospital, Seasons of Life Hospice and Pastor John Kuziej of Pioneer Lake Lutheran Church for their advice and loving care.
Funeral services were held April 7, 2014, at Pioneer Lake Lutheran Church in Conover.
