Bill drafted at request of police chief signed into law by Gov. Scott Walker

MADISON — Gov. Scott Walker signed a bill into law last Tuesday that was drafted at the request of Eagle River Police Chief Mark Vander?Bloomen and coauthored by Rep. Rob Swearingen (R-Rhinelander) and Sen. Luther Olsen (R-Ripon).

The bill — which adds the crime of child enticement to the forfeiture law in current state statutes — was among 61 others signed by Walker, who also held a ceremonial signing of Assembly Bill 770.

The legislation allows law enforcement officers
