Pines eyes moving all fifth-graders to Eagle River

The Northland Pines School District will begin discussions with parents on moving fifth-grade students from Land O’ Lakes and St. Germain elementary schools to Eagle River Elementary School starting with the 2014-’15 school year, according to District Administrator Mike Richie.

Public meetings to gather input are planned Wednesday, April 23, at St. Germain Elementary School and Thursday, April 24, at Land O’ Lakes Elementary School. Both meetings will start at 6:30 p.m.

“This is just the discussion phase,” said Richie Monday. “We want to gather information from parents, staff and the school board.”
