Pines girls take third at home track meet

The Northland Pines High?School girls track team took third place at a home meet last Tuesday.

Tomahawk won the meet with 86 points, followed by Ashland with 60, Pines with 46, Hurley with 42 and Mercer with 36.

“This was another solid meet for the team and we had a lot of girls competing in many events,” said Eagles coach Josh Rhode. “The relay format really encourages teamwork and pushes athletes to try new events.”
