Boy expelled for having knife PDF Print E-mail

A Northland Pines High School freshman boy was expelled Monday by the school board for having a knife on a school bus, according to District Administrator Mike Richie.

“While we recognize many boys carry small pocketknives, this knife was larger and he was waiving it around while on the bus,” Richie said. “The female bus driver had a concern and reported the incident to the school.”

Richie indicated the student was expelled for the remainder of the fourth quarter. He will be provided on-line instruction for the remainder of the school year and will be allowed to come back into the school in September providing there are no further incidents, according to Richie.
