By News-Review Staff

An Eagle River woman, who allegedly took more than $16,000 while she was treasurer of the Eagle River Jaycees between Jan. 1, 2012, and May 31, 2013, pleaded not guilty in Vilas County Circuit Court Monday.

Michelle Albaugh, 37, is charged with theft in a business setting of more than $10,000. The charge is a Class G felony that upon conviction carries a fine of not more than $25,000 or imprisonment up to 10 years, or both.

A new charge, identity theft for financial gain, was added to the case file Monday. According to the complaint, Albaugh allegedly used the Eagle River Jaycees’ credit card to obtain goods and services without authorization from the Jaycees.
