Eagle River loses asset in Heeg with chamber PDF Print E-mail

Letter to the Editor:

Eagle River has lost one of its greatest assets.

That is what happened when Connie Heeg retired from his job as executive director of the Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center.

Connie brought a wealth of vitality and expertise with him when he took over the chamber some 13 years ago. Eagle River could always count on Connie to come up with new ideas and new promotions for our community.

He proceeded to make Eagle River a town which offers a wealth of year-round events and activities for all to enjoy. There is no way to count the number of people who have been drawn to Eagle River because of Connie and his hardworking chamber staff.

Thank you for all your hard work, time and dedication. Because of you, Eagle River is truly one of the most tourist-friendly and successful communities in the North.

Connie, you will be missed, but you paid your dues and now you deserve time for a little rest and relaxation.

Think of us, Connie, because we will be remembering you.
