|Report offers aid for rural schools|

Allowing school districts to share certain grades without consolidation, increasing funding for transportation aids and permitting school districts to use the highest enrollment number during any of the previous five years in calculating revenue limits were among the recommendations from the Speaker’s Task Force on Rural Schools released last week.
Rep. Rob Swearingen (R-Rhinelander), chairman of the task force, said the report contains 17 recommendations from the 12-member panel following six public hearings across the state from October 2013 through February 2014.“The work of the task force members has been exceptional,”
