|Eagle River Speedway kicks off 40th season of stock car racing|
The defending class champions in four classes opened the 40th year of racing at Eagle River Speedway by winning their respective features.
Winning one of the other classes was the defending points champion from another northern Wisconsin track.
Jesse Aho from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan started his trek on an unprecedented fourth consecutive class championship in the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds by holding off Phillips’ Cole Spacek and George Truscott of Greenland, Mich.Phelps’ Jerry Grasse, who won the heat race,
