|Peer-to-peer mental illness program to start June 9 in Rhinelander|
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Northern Lakes will offer a free, 10-week peer-to-peer education program for adults living with mental illness starting Monday, June 9, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Rhinelander.
Taught by trained peer mentors who are living in recovery with a mental illness, this nationally acclaimed course is designed to help people understand and cope with their mental illness.
The course uses a combination of lecture, discussion, interactive exercises and stress-management techniques.Topics covered include the major mental illnesses, brain biology and function,
