DNR gives OK to new piers at Wild Eagle

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has approved an application for a permit to place six piers — allowing for 60 boat slips —  along the shoreline at Wild Eagle Lodge on Duck and Lynx lakes on the Eagle River Chain of Lakes.

Kyle McLaughlin, DNR?water management specialist, notified Wild Eagle Lodge owners last Thursday that the agency was approving the application with a few limitations.

“Because objections were received during the public comment period, this permit is not valid until July 19, 2014,”
