The Eagle River City Council, in a special meeting Monday afternoon, approved transferring the Walter E. Olson Memorial Library property from the city to any of the other six municipalities that are part of the joint library agreement, as well as removing the city as fiscal agent for the library.

“The key for us is we want the library; that’s not the issue,” declared Councilman Jerry Burkett. “The issue is how we get there. If you find a member to take it over, we will deed it to them.”
