Most anglers looking to open-water fishing

The North Woods is at or near the end of the ice fishing season. It is just a great time of the year as anglers have so much to anticipate in the next several weeks. Absent a huge change in the weather or a big snowfall, most anglers are now thinking about open-water fishing in the near future.
As the ice becomes unsafe and melts, and the last of the snow piles leave, anglers start thinking about that great perch fishing every year right after the ice goes out. First, let’s talk about the last-gasp ice fishing.
