I suspect that snow in April or even May is nothing new in Vilas County. I remember visiting the area in April once and found lots of snow still on the ground. But down here, snow in April is not as common. So when it turned my grass white in late April and when the gray skies, icy roads and cold wind reminded us that winter had not yet left us, we got a bit discouraged. Will it never go away? Will warm, sunny days ever arrive — and stay?
We who choose to live in Wisconsin know that we will have to live with cold and even snowy April
