Pause to remember our heroes on Memorial Day

MEMORIAL DAY is about people — the 1.2 million U.S. military men and women who laid down their lives for their country.
On this Memorial Day, I hope Americans across the nation will pause to pay tribute not only to those who died in service, but to their friends and relatives — their “personal heroes” — who served in our nation’s wars.
They died for this nation’s freedom and for the freedom of others. They died in popular wars and they died in unpopular ones. They died for causes they believed in and causes they fought for
