Heed the warnings

Mother Nature can be tough. We see it often with floods, tornadoes and earthquakes. Two weeks ago I saw it in my front yard when the robin’s nest that I have monitored for weeks was attacked by some critter, perhaps a crow. Two of the three babies were on the ground, bleeding and dead. One was on the ground but still alive. The parents were in the nearby maple tree squawking at me as I returned the surviving baby and the nest to the windowsill. Ultimately, the survivor died also.
