With fall in the air, fish are moving deeper

We certainly felt a little touch of the coming fall over the Labor Day weekend, with a lot of north wind and cooler temperatures to remind us of what is coming soon.
Anglers will notice that many of the lakes are entering the turnover period and getting greener and darker. This period will last for a while now, at least the rest of September and into October. It does make the lakes harder to fish during this process.
Water temperatures are dropping into the 60s now areawide, and hopefully staying there for a while. Lake levels have been dropping some because the balance of the rain that we have
