With the calendar turning to November, the open-water fishermen and -women will be experiencing their final weeks in the boat prior to the fast-approaching gun deer season.
Water temperatures have fallen into the low 40s throughout the area. This is the time the real muskie nuts hit the water prior to ice up. The muskie season closes at the end of the month, but options are reduced the later into November we get as lakes freeze up.
