High wind slows activity, but conditions improving

Last week’s snow did not hurt anglers’ ability to get around on the ice. The wind, however, did keep anglers off the ice for the most part during the snowstorm.
Anglers are able to drive on some of the lakes and that certainly makes getting out there easier. With ice thickness to 15 inches on many lakes, power augers are becoming a must for the rest of the winter.
