Anglers have extra time to pursue panfish species

With the return to normal spring weather conditions here in the North Woods, anglers are starting to see more typical fish behavior for this time of year.
The early ice-out got spawning activity started earlier than normal with water temperatures up into the low 50s in late March. Since then, lakes have seen water temperatures drop down closer to normal for mid-April, with surface temperatures in the 40s on area lakes.
