Sue Perry, a registered nurse working at Howard Young Medical Center (HYMC), recently presented a program to the St. Germain PrimeTimers on medical mission trips she has participated in to assist people in Mexico. Perry held up a quart-sized jar of rice and beans and explained to the group that she keeps this on her counter to remind her that there are families in Mexico who survive on this amount or less. A resident of Lake Tomahawk, she has been a registered nurse for 37 years. Seven years ago, she enrolled at Concordia University to further her education with the hope of becoming a nursing instructor.
