Sarah Wesenberg, a senior at Phelps High School, has been awarded the National Leadership Merit Award by the U.S. Achievement Academy.
Wesenberg was nominated for the award by Jason Pertile, Phelps School dean of students.
Involved in Student Council for many years, she has served as class president since seventh grade.
