Honor the Earth
By Mary Friedel-Hunt

I remember going to someone’s home near Chicago many years ago at the request of the owner’s two adult children, a young man and a young woman. They were extremely worried about their mother and, feeling their verbal input to me at my office was not enough, they wanted me to see for myself just why they were so concerned. After making arrangements to have their mother gone so she would not be humiliated, the three of us arrived at the home.

Earth Day, a.k.a United Nations Agenda 21:

“Mobilizing 200 million people in 141 countries and lifting the status of environmental issues onto the world stage, Earth Day activities in 1990 helped pave the way for the 1992 United Nations Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro.” (Agenda 21)
