Water temps on rise should help fishing
By George Langley

Warmer weather is speeding the spawning process of all the fish that are presently on the shorelines and should make for some excellent fishing Memorial Day weekend. With the water temperatures rising on a daily basis,  it bodes well for “normal” fishing this summer. The North Woods needs rain, however, and a lot of it. Water levels are again receding throughout the area.
Look for water temperatures in the 60s, though on some of the warmer days water temps could even get into the 70s in bays. There is now better weed growth starting in shallow water. On the clear lakes, anglers are starting to report some deeper weed growth.
