Most species hitting due to nice weather
By George Langley

Memorial Day weekend provided great fishing action throughout the area, as most anglers caught their target fish in good numbers.
Walleye fishing has been pretty good. The fish have completely recovered from the spawning process and are feeding now with some abandon. Jigs and minnows remain the bait of preference, but some anglers are using leeches. When walleye fishing during the daytime, just look for weeds.
