The North Woods has had an early taste of fall with some cool mornings early this week (50 degrees Monday morning) and it sure felt good.
With this cooler weather and some rain, the water temperatures have dropped nicely. This came not a moment too soon, as the temperatures were getting high enough to cause some minor fish kills on some lakes. Those water temperatures are firmly down in the 70s and hopefully will not go up the rest of the year.
