Fishing to improve with stable temps
By George Langley

The North Woods continues to have unusual weather, as it has been quite cool for this time of year. Does this mean an early fall or is Mother Nature fooling with us again?
Unusual weather brings unusual fishing, and we’ve had a quite unusual year so far. Most reports from the last week show anglers having a pretty tough time out there.
Lake levels are better than at this time for the last several years. Water temperatures are in the low 70s and even high 60s on some of the smaller lakes. Usually in August, the temperatures are at or near their high for the year, but not this year.
