As the weeds die off, walleyes will head deep

By George Langley

Fall is in the air.  The lakes now have falling water temperatures (again) and it is starting to look like fall with the trees starting to change color along the roadsides and the ferns dying off. This is a great time of the year for fishing.
Water temperatures are back down to the high 60s and low 70s in the area, and falling. Weeds are also dying in the shallows in many lakes.
