Jeffrey D. Dantoin of Monico died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander. He was 54.
Mr. Dantoin was born July 30, 1958, in Green Bay, the son of Donald and Donna (nee Hermans) Dantoin. He attended schools in Green Bay, graduating from Green Bay South West High School in 1976.
He married Gwenda Gorr June 20, 1981, in Green Bay.

Marlowe Opall (nee Nuernberger), a longtime resident of Phelps, died Tuesday Nov. 6, 2012 at Eagle River Memorial Hospital in Eagle River. She was 70.
Mrs. Opall was born in Milwaukee March 12, 1942.

Roy E. Starr, 78, passed away Nov. 6, 2012, in the care of Ruth Hospice in West Allis.
He was born July 1, 1934, in Omaha, Neb., the son of the late Arthur and Lucille (Nealy) Starr.
Roy was the beloved husband of Ruth; dear father of Scott (Denise); dear brother of Sandy (Harold) Gilford; close friend of Sue Stockinger; and was a proud grandpa and great-grandpa.

John Ottensmann, age 45 forever, left this world on Nov. 2, 2012, to go fishing with God.
He was born in Sheboygan, Wis., the son of Oscar and Dolores (Stuefen) Ottensmann.
John served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated his business, On Course Yard Care, with his wife, Deb.

Mary Lou Vreeland of Sugar Camp died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at her home. She was 70.
Mrs. Vreeland was born Feb. 20, 1942, in Rhinelander, the daughter of Robert and Mary (née Novack) Lund. She was raised and attended schools in Rhinelander. She married Lee Vreeland April 27, 1963.

Carla C. Baranek, age 51, of Cedar Grove, Wis., peacefully passed on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center, after a long and difficult battle with cancer.
Carla Christine Swanson was born in Sycamore, Ill., and spent most of her life in Wisconsin’s North Woods.
She resided in Cedar Grove for the past 10 years.

HURLEY, WIS. - Doris L. Beidatsch, 87, of Ironwood Township, Mich., died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Sky View Nursing Center in Hurley.
The former Doris Robinson was born Oct. 4, 1925, in Bel Air, Md., daughter of the late William and Martha (Grafton) Robinson.
She was married to Albert J. Beidatsch on June 13, 1959. He preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 1998.

Richard “Dick” C. Schiltz of Land O’ Lakes, formerly of Belvidere, Ill., died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau. He was 85.
Mr. Schlitz was born June 6, 1927, in Belvidere, the son of Walter and Hattie Schiltz (née Schafer).
Mr. Schiltz was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Marines and for the past 53 years owned and operated The Sport and Gift Shop in Land O’ Lakes.
