Gaylord B. Lyon of Brevard died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at the John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville. He was 96.
Mr. Lyon was born Jan. 24, 1916, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Leslie and Viola (née Weiss-Brown) Lyon.

Grace L. Rinderknecht, age 105, of Eagle River, Wis., died on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Inncare Country House in Phelps, Wis.
She was born on Aug. 23, 1907, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of William and Lydia (Venn) Wolfe.
Grace was raised and attended schools in Chicago and had lived in Eagle River on and off since 1907. Her family had owned and operated Venn’s Eagle Lake Resort.
During World War II, she worked as a translator in Mexico City.

Ronald E. Rohde, age 79, of Phelps, Wis., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff, Wis.
Ronald was born on Feb. 9, 1933, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Harvey and Ruth (nee Maas) Rohde.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David R. Rohde; and brother, Richard C. Rohde.

Duane E. Tillman of Three Lakes, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Wisconsin Veterans Home at King in King. He was 85.
Mr. Tillman was born Oct. 7, 1927, in Antigo, the son of Edwin and Goldie (née Now) Tillman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; two sons, Christopher and Kent; his parents; and one sister, Marilyn Lang.

Victor Wahn of Stevens Point died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012. He was 80.
Mr. Wahn was born Jan. 17, 1932, in Milwaukee. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War. He married Janice Bucholz in 1952 in Hawaii.
Mr. Wahn worked for General Motors as a senior project engineer in departments such as the aero space-missile guidance program.

Lee A. Arbogash of Sugar Camp died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at her home. She was 83.
Mrs. Arbogash was born June 2, 1929, the daughter of Ewald and Linda (née Dobberphuel) Hoepner. Mrs. Arbogash was raised and attended schools in the Fond du Lac area. She was married to Ronald Arbogash June 30, 1951, in Lomira.
She moved to Sugar Camp in 1968, where she and her husband owned and operated Arbogash’s Bar in Sugar Camp.

James W. Bartel passed away on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at Alden Estates of Countryside in Jefferson, after a courageous fight with cancer.
Jim was born July 13, 1948, in Watertown, to Willard and Myrtle (nee Saeger) Bartel.
Jim served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
He was a lifelong member of Cross Lutheran Church, serving on the church board and several committees.

Phyllis Goehe of Eagle River died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at her home. She was 80.
She was born Nov. 24, 1931, in Eagle River, the daughter of Fred and Mary Katherine (née Kolehouse) Eaton.
Mrs. Goehe loved to crochet and spend time with her family.
