Bird Club presentation
Three Lakes resident Warren Yahr recently gave a presentation to the Nicolet Bird Club of Three Lakes. Spring Fling dinner slated at Demmer Library May 29

The Three Lakes Public Library Foundation and Friends of the Demmer Library will sponsor the 30th annual Spring Fling dinner to benefit Edward U. Demmer Memorial Library Thursday, May 29, at the Reiter Center in Three Lakes.

The Woodland Strings will play light classical selections as attendees socialize with their fellow library supporters.

Center for the Arts kicks off new season

Three Lakes Center for the Arts in the Northwoods (TLFCA) will kick off a new season of entertainment with the Midwest Gypsy Swing Fest Friday, May 2, at 8 p.m.

The event will feature Harmonious Wail and the Gonzalo Bergara Quartet.

Harmonious Wail was featured on Wisconsin Public Television last fall and will return to TLCFA for its second concert in as many seasons.

Senior bus plans trip to Rhinelander

Seniors 55 and older and adults with disabilities can reserve a seat on the Forest County bus traveling to Rhine­­lander via Three Lakes and Sugar Camp Wednesday, May 14.

The lift-equipped bus will originate in Crandon and make stops in Argonne and Hiles before stopping in Three Lakes at approxi­mately 8:15 a.m.

The bus will stop in Sugar Camp at approximately 8:45 a.m.

Junior class hosts prom
Three Lakes High School held its Junior Prom at the Sugar Camp Town Hall Saturday, with an evening of dancing and socializing among students. New buoys
Three local organizations recently donated funds to the town of Three Lakes to purchase new buoys to be placed on the Chain of Lakes to mark channels and warn of dangerous areas. Faith Lutheran to hold annual Spring Fish Fry

Faith Lutheran Church in Three Lakes has set its Spring Fish Fry for Friday, May 2, at Oneida Village Inn with serving beginning at 4:30 p.m.

The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children younger than 12. Included in the price is an all-you-can-eat buffet of fish, broasted chicken, coleslaw, potato salad, french fries, bread and a dessert. Take out orders are welcome.

This year’s beneficiary will be Hunter St. Louis, a 10-year-old boy from Three Lakes recovering from Guillain-Barré Syndrome.
