Faith Lutheran Church sets fish fry

Faith Lutheran Church ELCA of Three Lakes will hold its fall fish fry Friday, Oct. 18, at Oneida Village Inn in Three Lakes.

Serving will begin at 4:30 p.m. Dinner tickets will cost $12 for adults and $6 for children younger than 12.

Docents honored
The Three Lakes Historical Society recently honored the docents who served over the summer at its annual meeting. Bus trip planned for senior citizens

Seniors 55 and older and adults with disabilities can reserve a seat on the Forest County bus traveling to Rhine­lander via Three Lakes and Sugar Camp on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

The lift-equipped bus will originate in Crandon and make stops in Argonne and Hiles before stopping in Three Lakes at approxi-mately 8:15 a.m.

The bus will stop in Sugar Camp at approximately 8:45 a.m. on its way to Rhine­lander for the day. The cost for the full day of transportation will be $3 per person.

Raffle, potluck dinner slated in Sugar Camp

St. Kunegunda’s annual Fall Harvest Raffle and Potluck Supper will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Sugar Camp Town Hall.

The evening will begin with a potluck supper at 6:30 p.m. Chicken will be provided by the Parish Council of Catholic Women, and refreshments will be available.

Several raffles will take place throughout the evening.

Legion plans steak dinner

The Three Lakes American Legion will host a Swiss steak dinner Saturday, Oct. 19, serving from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

The dinner will include Swiss steak with all the trimmings, coffee and dessert for a cost of $8.

The Bill Hassey Orchestra will perform music starting at 7 p.m.

Center for Arts to welcome artists, host Brass Quintet performance

The Three Lakes Center for the Arts in the Northwoods will hold a wine and cheese reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, to welcome its new artists featured in the gallery during October.

The work of photographers Martin and Debra Ehmann of Rhinelander, stained glass artist Debra Buss of Eagle River, primitive artist John Stees and potter Kitty Dittmer will be featured.

Jay’s Nest thrift store now open to public

The Three Lakes eighth-grade class will host a rummage sale fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Three Lakes Town Hall in conjunction with Pumpkin Fest.

The sale will be held in an effort to raise funds for the class’ educational trip to Washington, D.C. next spring.

They need to raise $40,000 to take the entire class on the trip.
