Fish boil slated July 5 in town

The Three Lakes Historical Society will hold its fourth annual fish boil fundraiser Saturday, July 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. on the museum grounds, located at 1798 Huron St. in Three Lakes.

The event will feature an all-you-can-eat Door County-style fish boil and live music from the band Wing Span.

Funds raised from the fish boil will be used for general operating costs of the museum. Tickets are available in advance at BMO Harris Bank-Three Lakes branch, First National Bank of Three Lakes or at the museum.

Aqua Devils plan waterskiing shows

The Aqua Devils Ski team in Three Lakes will hold shows throughout the summer Wednesday and Saturday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m. on Big Stone Lake at the Phyllis B. Felland Memorial Ski Park on Golf Course Look Road.

The shows are free and open to the public. Hallie Gross and Allie Hayes, show co-directors, have written the script for the shows with the theme, “Water-skiers of the Wild Midwest.” There are still openings for additional skiers.

Legion elects officers
The Three Lakes American Legion Post 431 recently elected officers for the coming year. Officers include, from left, Chaplain Michael Berndt, First Vice Commander Jim Nelson, Service Officer J.P. Historical Society, Museum set various summer events

The Three Lakes Historical Society and Museum have been working to bring a variety of activities to Three Lakes this summer.

The museum will open for regular summer hours starting June 17 and will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Three Lakes Museum will host several activities to highlight its newly renovated and new exhibits, along with local and Wisconsin history. Activities include the following:

Lions Club accepting donations for auction

The Three Lakes Lions Club will hold its annual auction Saturday, July 19, at Three Lakes High School. This year, there will be a rummage sale prior to the auction at 9 a.m., and the auction will begin at noon.

The Lions Club is still accepting donations, according to Club Secretary Ken Moak.

“Anyone who has clean, usable and serviceable items they are willing to donate, please contact the club as soon as possible,” he said. “As long as it can be reused by another, we’ll take the donated goods and put them on the auction block.”
