Easter festivities

Town negotiates with Integrys for purchase of Awassa property

Chairman Walt Camp reported on negotiations with Integrys Energy Group, for which Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) is a subsidiary, for the purchase of 286 undeveloped acres known as the Awassa property at the annual St. Germain Town Board meeting held April 15.

Nineteen electors, four St. Germain Town Board members, the clerk, the treasurer and one guest attended the meeting.

WPS and the Town of St. Germain have maintained a hiking trail system and part of a snowmobile trail on the property.

Integrys decided to close and sell
